Don’t look for the financials to slow down Leonard Fournette’s transition to the NFL as the former LSU running back has already agreed to terms with Jacksonville. Taken with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, Fournette is now under contract for the next four seasons, with a team option for the fifth season.

In only three seasons of play, Fournette rushed for 3,830 yards and 40 touchdowns despite suffering through a nagging ankle injury all of last season. If Fournette can help provide Jacksonville with production similar to the rookie performance of Zeke Elliott in 2016, the Jags may finally move into contender status in the AFC South with the former Tiger on their side.

NFL Insider Ian Rapoport was the first to report the news of Fournette’s signed contract.

Here’s Fournette signing the deal and making the news official.
