Jayden Daniels leaves LSU-Missouri with injury; Garrett Nussmeier in at QB
Jayden Daniels was forced to leave LSU’s game against Missouri after suffering an apparent injury early in the 4th quarter.
On the 1st play of the 4th, Daniels appeared to have scored from the Missouri 2-yard line as he took a high snap and ran it in to the end zone. He was wrapped up and brought down by a Mizzou defender and was forced to head to the medical tent. The scoring play was called back on an LSU hold as Garrett Nussmeier entered the contest, with LSU fans feeling that a late hit should have been called on Mizzou.
LSU ultimately had to settle for a field goal, which was missed by Damian Ramos for 29 yards out as the score remained 32-27 Missouri.
Daniels has been the heartbeat of the LSU offense. It could find itself in massive trouble down the stretch in Columbia if he can’t continue.
