Due to Hurricane Matthew, there was plenty of bickering between LSU and Florida about last year’s game between the two rivals.

The game ended up being played at LSU, where the Gators pulled off an impressive road win.

On Saturday, the Tigers got some revenge, going into Gainesville and spoiling Florida’s homecoming festivities with a 17-16 win over their SEC East rivals.

After last year’s game, Florida coach Jim McElwain said LSU “got what they deserved” for their role in rescheduling the game.

It’s safe to say LSU RB Derrius Guice did not forget those comments, as he sent a tweet to McElwain after Saturday’s LSU win:

LSU has to play at Florida again next year as part of the rescheduling agreement, but it’s now safe to say that the Tigers aren’t exactly scared of The Swamp.

This rivalry has gotten intense in the past few seasons, and that’s only going to continue over the coming years.
