Tyler is a significant pickup for LSU in this class. He’s the No. 597 overall player and the No. 31 tight end in the country for the 2025 recruiting cycle, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
He attends Hammond School in Columbia, South Carolina. In addition to the programs mentioned earlier, Tyler also has an offer from his hometown South Carolina Gamecocks. He’s listed at 6-foot-4, 225 pounds.
Tyler is LSU’s first commit from South Carolina in the class of 2025. If he ultimately signs with LSU, he’d the first high school prospect from the state of South Carolina to do so in the Brian Kelly era.
LSU is building what appears to be an elite recruiting class this cycle. Tyler is the 23rd player to verbally commit to LSU so far. The class as a whole ranks No. 3 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
