Now that LSU and head coach Ed Orgeron are parting ways at the end of the season, rumors of who might take his place have already started. One of those names on that list is current Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher according to Yahoo Sports.

Fisher, who is coming off a victory over then No. 1 Alabama this month might be the ideal candidate for the job. Fisher was a former assistant under Nick Saban while he was at LSU and has won a national championship at Florida State as their head coach before leaving for Texas A&M.

Fisher led Aggies to a top 5 ranking last year. Although LSU is one of the top programs in the country, would he be willing to leave A&M for Baton Rouge? LSU athletic director Scott Woodward, who hired Fisher at Texas A&M, is a close friend.
