LSU fans had plenty of reason to celebrate as they left Tiger Stadium Saturday night following a 42-28 victory over Florida.

The sing-song jingle that many fan bases use is easy to mock or troll, and that’s what the Tiger faithful took advantage of as they went to celebrate. “It sucks to be a Florida Gator” echoed through the concourses of Tiger Stadium.

QB Joe Burrow gave them plenty of reason to cheer with 293 yards and 3 unanswered touchdowns as No. 5 LSU knocked off No. 7 Florida in a much-hyped matchup between two of the top teams in the SEC. Burrow was 21-of-24 passing, so his 3 incompletions matched his 3 touchdowns.

The Tigers new offense continued to impress against a Florida defense that led the nation in interceptions and led the SEC in sacks. But LSU rang up 511 yards without a sack or turnover.

LSU has yet to score less than 42 points in a game this season.

The defense, however, showed some signs of concern, but halftime adjustments led to 2 sacks in the second half.

The Tigers next face Mississippi State this week before Auburn comes to Tiger Stadium, and then an off week ahead of the Alabama game on Nov. 9.
