LSU doesn’t often land recruits from the state of Indiana, but that’s exactly what happened on Sunday afternoon.

The Tigers’ latest 2023 commitment is 4-star edge rusher Joshua Mickens, a native of Indianapolis.

As you can see below, Mickens took to Twitter on Sunday to announce his decision to head to Baton Rouge to play for Brian Kelly and the Tigers starting next fall:

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Mickens is the No. 18 edge rusher in the class of 2023 and the No. 2 overall recruit from the state of Indiana.

The Tigers now have 8 players in their 2023 recruiting class, which currently ranks No. 37 in the country, per 247Sports.
