LSU hired Murray State head coach Matt McMahon to replace the fired Will Wade this offseason, and he’s working to put together his first roster in Baton Rouge.

On Thursday, he landed a huge piece for this upcoming Tigers team, earning a commitment from his leading scorer and rebounder with the Racers last season.

As you can see below, KJ Williams revealed he was committing to LSU for the 2022-23 campaign:

Williams appeared in 34 games for the Racers in 2021-22, starting all of them. He averaged 18 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals per contest.

He figures to be an immediate contributor for the Tigers in the post this season.
