LSU offensive lineman George Brown Jr. has decided to transfer according to a report by The Advocate’s Ross Dellenger, who says it will be at least the eighth transfer of the Tigers’ offseason.
Brown’s father told Dellenger his son felt he would be a better fit elsewhere.
“He felt better to go with another staff and go play somewhere else. He’s not mad at LSU,” George Brown Sr. said. “LSU is a great school, great place to be. We love LSU. I’m not the one playing. My son decided he wanted to be somewhere else. He didn’t feel that was the place for him. We don’t have an issue. We love coach Miles and all of the staff there. He just decided that he would take his talents other places.”
Brown signed with the team in 2015 and redshirted last fall. The 6-foot-7, 290-pound lineman will decide between Miami, Michigan State, Penn State and UCLA and enroll by Friday according to Brown Sr.
