LSU RB Derrius Guice responds to writer who questions why he'd play in Citrus Bowl
Did LSU running back Derrius Guice take a shot at Leonard Fournette on Friday?
Maybe, maybe not.
Guice responded to an ESPN writer’s tweet that essentially said he couldn’t believe Guice was actually going to play in the Citrus Bowl against Notre Dame on Jan. 1.
“I’m loyal to my team! Not missing a game I’m fully capable of playing in,” Guice responded.

Some people on social media immediately jumped back to last season and questioned whether Guice was taking a jab at his former teammate.
Fournette controversially skipped the Tigers’ Citrus Bowl game last year against Louisville. He said at the time that he wanted to get his ankle back to 100 percent before the NFL Draft.
Whether or not Guice intended to take a shot at his former teammate, there’s clearly no doubt he’ll be playing on New Year’s Day.
Here’s the exchange between Guice and ESPN writer Joel Anderson:
