LSU releases statement about coach Will Wade being named in Yahoo!’s FBI investigation report

On Sunday, it was reported that the NCAA was investigating LSU coach Will Wade, with specific regard to his recruiting tactics.
Yahoo!’s Pete Thamel, who has been all over the FBI investigation into college basketball, broke the news, prompting the Tigers to release a statement on Monday afternoon.
Per the statement, the university has confirmed that Wade is not being investigated currently, as you can see below:
LSU has confirmed with NCAA officials that there is no active investigation into the men’s basketball program. LSU Athletics stands for full compliance and partnership with the NCAA and the SEC.
That seems to close the book on the Wade saga for now, but the NCAA clearly is interested in what he’s doing.
However, every program in college basketball will be walking on eggshells now that the feds are looking over their shoulders.
