LSU isn’t finished pursuing members of Mizzou’s defensive coaching staff, according to a report.

Per FootballScoop, LSU is attempting to lure Missouri defensive line coach Kevin Peoples away from Eli Drinkwitz’s staff. This comes days after LSU has already hired Missouri defensive coordinator Blake Baker to the same role in Baton Rouge.

According to that report, LSU is pursuing Peoples to coach edge defenders for the program. The Tigers also hired Bo Davis away from Texas on Wednesday. Davis is slated to coach interior defensive lineman for the Tigers.

It’s worth noting that FootballScoop’s report says Missouri is attempting to keep Peoples on its staff for the 2024 season. Peoples was hired at Missouri back in January of 2022.

Mizzou is coming off of its best season in nearly a decade. The Tigers defeated Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl and won 11 games in a campaign for the first time since 2014.

LSU, on the other hand, is attempting it rebuild its coaching staff after a disappointing 2023 season on the defensive side of the ball. The Tigers went 9-3 this year and parted ways with 4 defensive assistant coaches earlier this month.
