About 24 hours since the news of Ed Orgeron’s departure from LSU, a player has entered the transfer portal.

LSU wide receiver Koy Moore will enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, Geaux247 reported on Monday. The former Metairie, Louisiana (Archbishop Rummel) wideout is the first player to make a move toward the portal since it was announced that Orgeron would not return after the 2021 season.

The sophomore had 5 receptions for 71 yards in 2021 after notching 22 catches for 177 yards as a freshman. Moore is known for having the ability to catch the ball in traffic with breakaway speed. He appeared in 10 games as a true freshman.

Though this season, Moore hasn’t made a catch since the win over Central Michigan, and he was previously injured during fall camp.

When Moore signed with LSU in the 2020 class, he was a 4-star, and listed as the No. 299 overall prospect in the country, No. 50 wide receiver in the nation and No. 11 prospect in Louisiana.
