This has been a difficult year for LSU defender Travez Moore, who tested positive for COVID-19, and earlier this year said he lost 27 pounds. Now Moore, who opted out of the season, has reportedly entered the transfer portal.
The news comes from Matt Zenitz of AL.com, who reported that the former JUCO transfer had made the move.
Moore is a native of Bastrop, Louisiana was previously ranked the top junior college weakside defensive end by 247Sports. He joined the Tigers before the 2018 season but redshirted after only playing in 3 games. In 2019, he played sparingly, first against FCS Northwestern State and then against Vanderbilt. This season, he registered 3 tackles across a pair of games against Vanderbilt and Missouri.
Moore graduated from LSU in August, but remained with the program until he decided to opt out last month.
LSU’s game with Alabama this week was called off because of rising COVID-19 cases and contract tracing in the program. The Tigers next scheduled game is set for Arkansas on Nov. 21.
I want to thank LSU for all that it has done for me and i am thankful for my teammates and the relationship i built here at the university … i will be opting out the 2020 season
