LSU will be without one of their offensive linemen for the near future.

The university has announced in a release Wednesday that OL Maea Teuhema has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules. The details of the violation have not yet been announced, but it is a big blow for the Tigers offense.

Teuhema was named a true-freshman All-American in 2015 after clearing the way for Leonard Fournette and an LSU offense that racked up 256.8 yards per game. He is a rising junior and was expected to contribute heavily along LSU’s offensive front after starting the last two seasons.

LSU finished 2016 fifth in the SEC with 233 yards per game, and they will continue to lean heavily on the run this season. Derrius Guice is set for a big year with the Tigers, but LSU will need a strong showing up front to make that happen.
