LSU will host Army in Week 8 and while the 19th-ranked Tigers are aiming for a 3rd consecutive victory, they’ll also pay homage to the Cadets.

It was already recently revealed that LSU will have special camo end zones for the matchup. Now, it’s being announced that LSU and Army will join together to sign each other’s alma mater songs after the contest.

This will be the first matchup between the programs since 1931 and it’ll be the inaugural meeting at Death Valley. Army has a 2-4 record this season. Army head coach Jeff Monken didn’t sugarcoat the matchup.

“It will take a monumental effort for us to challenge these guys and have an opportunity to be in the football game,” Monken said via The AP. “…This is as talented a team as we’ve ever faced since I’ve been here as the coach. So, they don’t have an Achilles’ heel.”

Monken says Army is aware of the challenge and embrace the competition against a ranked opponent.

“Our guys watch college football all the time. They’re not stupid,” Monken said. “Our guys aren’t scared. … It’s a tough opponent, a good opponent and they’re excited for the opportunity.”

Army at LSU is slated for a 7:30 p.m. EST kickoff on Saturday (SEC Network).
