LSU's top coaching candidate Tom Herman just lost to Memphis
Leading 44-41 with less than a minute to go, all Houston needed was a stop to hold off the Memphis Tigers.
However, the Cougars let the Tigers march down the field and score the decisive touchdown, handing Tom Herman’s Houston squad a 48-44 loss:

Since Herman is now reportedly the favorite to land the LSU (and Texas) head coaching job, fans and media members had a lot to say on Twitter after the Cougars’ loss:
Really like Tom Herman. But a university likely is going to give $8 million a year to a guy who lost to Navy, SMU and Memphis this year

So Tom Herman has lost three times this year as a double digit favorite — to Navy, SMU and Memphis — and he’s a coaching genius?

Tom Herman is either trying to dissuade other teams from hiring him or trying to convince Houston they no longer want him.

I wanna see more news about Power 5 teams bidding on Tom Herman, while Fleck continues to be ignored.

Did LSU and Texas fire Tom Herman already? I know some of their fans didn't like he was only 22-3. Can't be taking this one well at all.

"Hey Tom Herman, you lost to three underdogs! Watcha been thinking about?"
"Texas and LSU!"

Tom Herman coached teams only get up for big games. So Texas can get used to losing to Kansas.

@ClayTravis After seeing Tom Herman blow the game with poor time management he's now a lock for the LSU job, right? Why rush the TD there?

Congrats Tom Herman you beat two top 5 teams and your season was still a failure.
