Tom Herman's response to LSU reports Friday morning
Here’s a shocker: Tom Herman has refuted reports that he’s a day away from accepting the vacant head coach position with LSU.
Coach speak runs rampant during this time of the year.
Last night Chip Brown of Horn’s Digest reported LSU was closing in on a deal with Herman and that it would come into fruition as early as Saturday, though it was contingent on what kind of decision was made between Texas and Charlie Strong.
Herman wants the public to know that loose lips sink ships.
Spoke to Tom Herman pregame in Memphis concerning reports of other coaching vacancies…

I asked Houston Head Coach Tom Herman pregame on @SportsCenter
Can you confirm those reports are false?
"Absolutely"

Herman will lead Houston for perhaps the final time this afternoon against Memphis, where the Cougars are hoping to improve to 10-2 on the season. A win would give the 41-year-old coach a 23-3 record in his two seasons as coach.
From there, the college football world will set its eyes on Texas-TCU — a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff. The result could ultimately decide the outcome of several Power 5 coaching moves.
