Former LSU star QB Joe Burrow had an impressive debut on Sunday for the Cincinnati Bengals in his first game as an NFL player. Those in the new fan club include Nate Burleson, who shared his accolades on the NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football.”

“He got it. He got the sauce, he got the flavor, he got the confidence,” Burleson said. “He was taking shots early. I mean Bosa was all over him. But he picked himself up, dusted himself off, and then got after it. Everything about Joe Burrow yesterday I loved. Of course he made some mistakes, he missed some throws, he’s a rookie in his first ever debut. And still had a chance in that final drive, cooking. Boom, boom, boom, down the drill, two minute. Had a chance to win it, but the kicker let them down. I’ll just call it what it is.

“But Joe Burrow is my new favorite young quarterback, Bengals, I need a jersey.”

Burrow finished 23-for-36 passing for 193 yards, and an interception. He was also sacked three times. He had eight rushes for 46 yards and his first touchdown, which was a 23-yard scamper.
