No. 1 LSU scored 5 runs in its final 2 at-bats to complete a thrilling 8-7 comeback win over No. 6 South Carolina, evening the series.
South Carolina extended a 4-3 lead into a 7-3 lead in the bottom of the 5th inning. It remained a 7-3 game entering the 8th inning.
Gavin Dugas tied it up with 1 big swing of the bat. The bags were juiced with 2 outs when Dugas launched one over the wall in left field to plate Cade Beloso, Jordan Thompson and Brayden Jobert.

Putting a damper on the celebration is the unknown status of Garrett Edwards. The Tigers’ star reliever left Friday’s game with apparent elbow discomfort.
LSU and South Carolina were scheduled to play Game 3 of the series on Friday as part of a doubleheader, but the tarp is being placed on the field at Founders Park, meaning there will be a delay. The series is tied 1-1.
