LSU’s roster has taken more hits recently as RB Chris Curry and DL Nelson Jenkins have entered the transfer portal.
That report came from Brody Miller of The Athletic, who noted that Jenkins opted out earlier this season. Curry played in nine games this season with 45 carries for 145 yards. His best game was the win over Florida with 17 carries for 64 yards.
Entering this season, Curry had played in 18 games with one start. His best game came in the College Football Playoff semifinal last season against Oklahoma when he started in place of an injured Clyde Edwards-Helaire and had his best game with 89 yards rushing on 16 carries. Four of those carries went for first downs. The sophomore was a 4-star prospect coming out of high school, and is from Lehigh Acres, Florida.
As for Jenkins, the sophomore lineman who is 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds opted out earlier in the season, but then also said he would return in 2021.
“I will be staying at LSU! I have a goal to achieve and a chip on my shoulder😤!! In Only God I trust,” he tweeted in September.
