LSU is set to lose a key member of its receiving corps.

Racey McMath has hired an agent and will declare for the NFL Draft, according to The Athletic’s Brody Miller. Despite McMath being in his senior season, he had the option to return due to the “bonus year” granted to student-athletes. Instead, it appears he will pursue a professional career.

McMath played in 6 games in 2020, making 14 catches for 195 yards. During the Tigers’ championship season of 2019, he recorded 17 catches for 285 yards and 3 touchdowns.

While he was expected to make a bigger splash as a senior, it ultimately was not to be. His 2020 season was cut short following an injury to his left leg suffered against Arkansas on Nov. 21.

Now, the New Orleans native is set to end his collegiate career and make the move toward the NFL Draft.
