While the game has not officially been moved, all indications are that LSU’s season opener Saturday night against BYU will be moved from Houston’s NRG Stadium as soon as Monday.

LSU AD Joe Alleva came just short of announcing the news Sunday evening, stating the game “almost certainly it will not be played in Houston.”

According to Ross Dellenger of The Advocate, Nashville, Orlando and New Orleans are all being considered to host the game. Jacksonville has also not been ruled out according to Dellenger.

It’s important to note, LSU and BYU don’t have a say in this process. The decision to move or not move the game will not be made by either school. NRG and ESPN are the two organizing the game together and they both ultimately get to decide when and where the game will be played.

If the game is indeed moved, as expected, it will be the third LSU game in as many seasons moved due to weather.
