Carolina Panthers honor passing of Steve Ensminger's daughter-in-law Carley McCord
The LSU community and college football world was rocked on Saturday, as LSU offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger’s daughter-in-law Carley McCord passed away in a plane crash just hours before LSU face Oklahoma in the College Football Playoff.
McCord was a sports reporter based in New Orleans, who frequently covered the Saints on local television.
In a classy move on Sunday, the Carolina Panthers honored McCord on the jumbotron before the regular season finale against the Saints.
In a divisional rivalry game, this is a nice move by the Panthers organization as the Saints mourn the passing of a local reporter.
It’s times like these that sports help bring people together in the face of tragedy.
