Report: Steve Ensminger's daughter-in-law among those killed in tragic plane crash
Tragedy has struck in Louisiana on Saturday, as a small plane carrying fans to the Peach Bowl crashed, killing at least 5 people.
Now, we know that one of the victims of the crash was LSU co-OC Steve Ensminger’s daughter-in-law — Carley McCord.
LSU head coach Ed Orgeron spoke with ESPN’s Holly Rowe and confirmed that Ensminger would coach on Saturday, offering his thoughts and prayers to the family:
LSU co-OC Steve Ensminger's daughter-in-law died in a plane crash today. Ed Orgeron tells @sportsiren "Our thoughts and prayers out to him. Steve and his wife, his family are so distraught. Steve is a man. He knows how to handle things." Ensminger "absolutely" will coach today.

McCord was the wife of Ensminger’s son — Steve Ensminger Jr. She was a sports reporter for WDSU in New Orleans.
According to witnesses, the small plane hit a power line while trying to make an emergency landing in Lafayette, Louisiana.
