There’s been no shortage of talking ahead of this week’s LSU-Texas game in Austin. But one of LSU’s key players hopes to put an end to it soon.

Not only have the Longhorns talked about the game, they wore T-shirts earlier this week that said, “There’s only one DBU,” a not so subtle shot at LSU, which typically has that debate with Florida.

“It’s definitely going to be a good game next week, obviously, going against guys from the Texas area,” said K’Lavon Chaisson, a sophomore from Houston. “They really strongly believe they have a chance. I don’t. That’s what you’re supposed to do, but it’s going to be a good game.”

The way Chaisson delivered that remark, it’s almost as if he was confused as to why the Texas players are, in his mind, mistaken about that belief.

LSU is about a 5 1/2-point favorite in the game, which is set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. on ABC. The matchup should be a good barometer for two top 10 teams to show where they stack up outside of their conference.
