LSU RB Leonard Fournette has rushed for 228 yards and 3 touchdowns on 19 carries against Auburn.

With LSU holding a 38-7 lead, it seems unlikely LSU will continue to run Fournette onto the field. If that’s the case,  Fournette will fall just short of Alley Broussard’s single-game rushing record, which he set when he rushed for 250 yards vs. Ole Miss in 2004.

Fournette now has 387 yards and 6 touchdowns through two games. Fournette’s performance puts him squarely in Heisman Trophy conversation.

It also raises the question: who is the best running back in the SEC? Fournette or Georgia’s Nick Chubb?
