Turnover chain done? Miami reportedly does away with popular sideline prop

The turnover chain has become synonymous with the Miami Hurricanes in recent years, making its appearance on the sidelines whenever the Canes’ defense forces a turnover.
But, with new head coach Mario Cristobal taking over this offseason, have we seen the last of the divisive sideline prop?
Per Rivals, Miami’s new OL coach said to a recruit that the chain was going away in 2022:

Of course, that’s coming from an offensive line coach, so take it with a grain of salt. Offensive linemen aren’t known for forcing many turnovers, but you’d figure Alex Mirabal at least knows the plan from head coach Mario Cristobal.
We’ll see if there are any chains on the sideline when the Hurricanes kick off the 2022 season this fall.
