Josh Gattis takes parting shot at Michigan administration after leaving for Miami

Josh Gattis made a surprising move on Sunday, leaving the Michigan Wolverines to take a job as the offensive coordinator of the Miami Hurricanes.
He’ll join Mario Cristobal’s first staff in Miami, and it seems there’s not much love lost between Gattis and the Michigan administration.
Per Tom VanHaaren of ESPN, Gattis texted that he didn’t feel any appreciation from the university’s administration, adding that he wouldn’t advise his players to “be where they are not wanted”:
In a text to some Michigan players, Josh Gattis said, “Unfortunately the past few weeks has told a different story to me about the very little appreciation I have here from administration. In life I would never advise anyone to be where they are not wanted…”

Gattis joined Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan staff in 2019 after spending the 2018 season at Alabama. He has previous stops at North Carolina, Penn State, Western Michigan and Vanderbilt on his resume.
We’ll see if there’s any more fallout from Gattis’s comments in the coming days.
