Juwan Howard was the main actor in a sideline incident that occurred after Sunday’s Michigan-Wisconsin game.

He was suspended for 5 games by Michigan. A Wisconsin player and 2 Michigan players were suspended for a game each and Wisconsin coach Greg Gard was fined $10,000.

On Monday evening, Howard, who didn’t apologize for his actions on Sunday in his postgame press conference, did issue an apology statement:

Howard will miss the rest of the regular season and has also been fined $40,000. With the Wolverines teetering on the NCAA Tournament bubble, Howard’s absence will really hurt the team.

We’ll see if Michigan can overcome the loss of its head coach moving forward, or if it ends up in the NIT this year.
