A Louisiana wide receiver has committed to catching passes in Mike Leach’s Air Raid offense. Marrero, Louisiana wideout Zavion Thomas announced his pledge to the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Thursday afternoon. He’s the second Bulldog wide receiver commitment in as many days.

247Sports rates Thomas 4-stars, while the 247Sports Composite (which factors in ranking from Rivals and ESPN) has him at 3-stars. The Composite rates the 5-11, 190-pounder as the No. 64 wide receiver, No. 22 Louisiana product and No. 470 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2022.

According to his recruiting profile, Thomas also runs track for John Ehret and has 11 football scholarship offers, including Louisville, Liberty, Louisiana, Memphis, Southern Miss and Tulane.
