Though Dan Mullen’s Mississippi State team struggled this season, it’s hard to overlook what the coach has accomplished in Starkville.

In eight seasons at the helm of the Bulldogs, Mullen is 60-42 and has led the team to its first-ever No. 1 ranking (when QB Dak Prescott was still on the team).

According to 247Sports, a top Pac-12 program has taken notice of Mullen’s accomplishments.

If Oregon fires coach Mark Helfrich, Mullen could be one of the top candidates to replace him.

According to the report, West Virginia’s Dana Holgorsen and Western Michigan’s P.J. Fleck are among the other candidates to fill the Ducks’ job.
