Emmanuel Forbes will take his talents to the pros after breaking records at Mississippi State.

Forbes announced Thursday that he is foregoing his senior season to enter the 2023 NFL Draft.

Forbes joined the Bulldogs in 2020. In 3 years, he accumulated 6 interception returns for touchdowns, breaking the FBS record for pick-6s. The record-breaking play came in Week 12 against ETSU.

Forbes, out of Grenada (Mississippi), has played in 35 games for the Bulldogs. He logged 142 tackles, including 6.5 for loss. Forbes has 14 total career interceptions. The pick-6s are split evenly in his freshman and junior seasons. He had 3 picks in 2021 as a sophomore but did not score a touchdown that season.

Last time out, Forbes helped Mississippi State defeat Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl. He had 9 tackles and a pass breakup in the Bulldogs’ 24-22 victory in Oxford.

Forbes’ announcement does not address whether he will play in MSU’s bowl game.
