Some unfortunate news to share on Wednesday as a former Mississippi State walk-on has been accused of some serious crimes.

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office claims Sean Barrette recently went on a shooting spree, which has left three people dead. The alleged shooting spree took place over 24 hours and Barrette is a suspect in a fourth dead in New Orleans. This information is being reported by FOX 8 out of Louisiana.

The New Orleans native walked on at Mississippi State for the 2015 season but did not play for the Bulldogs. Following the 2015 season, Barrette left MSU for South Alabama.

According to police, Barrette is believed to have battled with mental illness leading up to the shootings. No motive for the shootings is known at this time.
