Mississippi State fans are understandably disappointed with their team’s first-half showing against Auburn, which the Bulldogs trailed 35-0 at halftime.

In fact, one of the most prolific players in program history made some harsh criticisms on Twitter.

Anthony “Boobie” Dixon, an MSU running back from 2006-2009, even called for coach Dan Mullen to totally shake up his depth chart.

Dixon is the program leader in career rushing yards (3,994), single season rushing yards (1,391), single game rushing yards (252) and career rushing touchdowns (42). The San Francisco 49ers picked him in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft, and he’s currently a free agent after the Buffalo Bills released him in March.

Dixon is just one of many frustrated by MSU’s sluggish performance so far, but his voice is an important one in Starkville.
