One of the nation’s finest assistant coaches formerly worked in Starkville with Dan Mullen. Apparently, the time spent with Mississippi State sticks in the mind of Florida State coach Tim Brewster.

So much so, that Brewster took an unprovoked shot at his one season (back in 2012) that he spent in Starkville as MSU’s wide receivers coach during Florida State’s recruiting celebration event on National Signing Day:

Why Brewster felt the need to poke Mississippi State is unclear, but the FSU assistant is already an unpopular figure in the Magnolia State after helping the Seminoles land Cam Akers this season, arguably the best prospect in the state’s history.

Finally, Ole Miss and Mississippi State both have something in common: Disdain for Tim Brewster.
