Garrett Shrader, former Mississippi State QB, reportedly named starter for new team in Friday night game
Former Mississippi State quarterback Garrett Shrader is reportedly a starting QB again.
Stephen Bailey of 247Sports is reporting, per a source, that Shrader has been named Syracuse’s starter for Friday night’s game against Liberty.

Shrader played in 10 games, including 4 starts, for Mississippi State in 2019, going 88-of-153 passing for 1,170 yards, 8 touchdowns and 5 interceptions while rushing 113 times for 587 yards and 6 TDs. After the coaching change to Mike Leach, Shrader appeared in only one game for MSU in 2020, not registering any other statistics.
Shrader has played in 3 games for Syracuse so far, going 15-of-21 passing for 232 yards with a touchdown and an interception, and rushing 14 times for 44 yards and 2 TDs.
