Honeymoon over: Mississippi State fans done with Joe Moorhead after loss at Tennessee
Joe Moorhead’s record at Mississippi State fell to 11-8 with a disappointing 20-10 loss at Tennessee. The Volunteers entered the game 1-4, without a win over an FBS team in 2019. It’s safe to say Moorhead’s honeymoon in Starkville is over with MSU falling to UT.
Moorhead would be to wise to avoid searching his name on social media right now because it’s a bloodbath. Hail State Twitter is done with him and media members are speculating that Moorhead might be packing his bags for Rutgers before too long.

Firing a coach in year 2 is a good way to scare off potential candidates and end up hiring down. But at this point is that a risk worth taking instead another year of Joe Moorhead running the program further in the ground? Think it might be time to start having that conversation.
