The Mississippi State Bulldogs picked up another big piece for their 2018 recruiting class on Friday afternoon.

Geor’quarius Spivey, a 2018 tight end, has pledged his allegiance to coach Dan Mullen’s squad.

The Louisiana native, who stands 6-6 and weighs 220 pounds, made his decision at a ceremony at his high school:

According to the 247Sports composite, Spivey, a 3-star prospect, is the No. 37 tight end in the class of 2017 and the No. 33 overall recruit from the state of Louisiana.

With Spivey’s commitment, the Bulldogs now have 26 players in their 2018 class, which currently ranks No. 6 in the SEC and No. 16 in the nation.

Spivey is only Mississippi State’s second commitment from Louisiana, but the Bulldogs have done a good job keeping some of the top players from Mississippi at home so far.
