Mississippi State AD John Cohen announces Mike Leach hire in the most amazing way possible
The only thing that could top Mississippi State’s hire of Mike Leach was the fashion in which AD John Cohen confirmed the hire.
If you missed it, Mississippi State made the splash hire of the offseason by landing the former Washington State and Texas Tech coach on Thursday.
Leach, known by many as “The Pirate” for his love of pirates, of course, is on his way to Starkville following an 8-year run at Washington State. Leach went 55-47 in Pullman after leading Texas Tech to a 84-43 record in his 10 years at that school.
Following the incredible breaking of the news, Cohen issued the following tweet confirming Mississippi State had landed one of the biggest names in the sport as Leach is now a Bulldog.
