Mike Leach praised Will Levis ahead of this week’s game at Kentucky for Mississippi State, and noted, “He’s a really good player, played against him last year.”
Mississippi State has run the ball more this season than it has in the past, and Leach was asked on the SEC coaches media teleconference about a balanced offense.
Leach notes that Mississippi State has passed the ball more than 70% of the time, then added, “Tell me what the balance about that is. What’s balanced about that?”
Then Leach was asked about non-football questions, and as a follow-up to last week’s advice about weddings, he was asked about getting to the hospital for the birth of a child.
“You never know when liftoff is on those things,” Leach said. “I almost missed my son, he popped out real fast. … Bring some food, definitely bring some food.”
Leach also added that he ordered a pizza for one of his children’s births.
