Coming off of a bye week, Mississippi State (4-2) jumps into a primetime atmosphere this week at Tiger Stadium, and the hype is building.

LSU (6-1), coming off an upset win over Georgia, is looking to keep pace in the SEC West ahead of its showdown with Alabama in November.

The Tigers are looking for revenge following last year’s 37-7 loss in Starkville, but they’ve largely controlled the series in recent memory, with only two losses since 2000. Last year’s loss, though, was the most lopsided for the program since Ed Orgeron took over in 2016. Only one other game (Alabama last year) was more than a six-point margin.

LSU, which has an open date next week, is trying not to overlook Mississippi State, which bounced back with a win over Auburn following disappointing losses to Kentucky and Florida.

By the time kickoff arrives, there shouldn’t be any shortage of excitement for this game, but this hype video below should help the cause for both fan bases before a night game in Tiger Stadium.

The game is set for 6 p.m. local time on ESPN.
