Mississippi State suffers first decommitment following Joe Moorhead’s hiring

Mississippi State lost a three-star recruit Wednesday following the announcement that Penn State OC Joe Moorhead has been hired as the next head coach of the Bulldogs.

Chad Simmons with Rivals.com shared the story that Tyrese Ross has decommitted from the Bulldogs. According to Simmons, Ross pointed to the departure of both Mullen and DC Todd Grantham as reasons for reopening his recruitment.

Ross is a three-star S from Atlanta, Georgia who had committed to the Bulldogs in July. According to 247 Sports, Ross has also received offers from Cincinnati, Florida Atlantic, and a number of Big 10 schools.
