Entering Saturday’s game between Arkansas and Mississippi State in Fayetteville, both teams needed to win to stay on the NCAA Tournament bubble.

Mississippi State took a big lead, but in the second half, the Razorbacks came battling back, eventually taking the lead late.

In fact, the Hogs led 77-76 with less than 15 seconds left before this happened:

That’s big man Abdul Ado tipping the ball into the basket off a missed shot, giving the Bulldogs a 78-77 lead with less than a second left. That lead held up, and the Bulldogs got a much-needed victory.

Both teams are now 16-9 overall, but Mississippi State has a much better SEC record (7-5) than Arkansas (4-8). Will either of these teams go to the tournament in March? There’s still plenty of basketball to be played.
