Mississippi State tight end Gus Walley suffered an undisclosed injury in the second quarter of the Bulldogs’ game with Louisiana Tech, and did not return.

Walley took a hard hit from a Louisiana Tech defender while trying to make a catch in the end zone. He was unable to hold on to the ball, and Mississippi State wound up settling for a field goal.

Walley, a junior from Richton, Miss., had missed the past two games with a wrist injury. He has caught 15 passes for 109 yards and a touchdown this season.
