Power 5 teams are trying to improve their strength of schedule by adding fellow power-conference teams to their schedule.

On Monday afternoon, FBSchedules.com reported that the Mississippi State Bulldogs were getting in on that trend once again with an interesting series against an explosive Big 12 squad.

Per the report, the Bulldogs have scheduled the Texas Tech Red Raiders for a home-and-home series taking place in 2028 and 2029:

The Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Texas Tech Red Raiders have scheduled a home-and-home football series for 2028 and 2029, FBSchedules.com has learned.

A copy of the game contract was obtained from Mississippi State University via a state public records request.

The Bulldogs have upcoming series against Kansas State, NC State, Arizona and Minnesota, and now the Red Raiders join that mix.

The 2028 game will take place in Starkville, with the Red Raiders hosting the 2029 game in Lubbock.
