With WR Fred Ross graduating (and heading to the NFL), Mississippi State will be tasked with replacing 68 catches, 873 receiving yards, and 12 touchdowns.

There is some talent within MSU’s receiver corps. With that said, it’s somewhat young and inexperienced. Dan Mullen would love for one receiver to separate from the pack and take the mantle from Ross as the unquestioned No. 1 pass-catcher on the team.

In an effort to find this receiver, Mullen is hitting the JUCO ranks — with 2017 athlete Stephen Guidry being the main target.

Guidry currently attends Hinds Community College. The 4-star is regarded as a top-10 JUCO player nationally.

On Saturday, he tweeted out a list of the two schools he’s considering:

The 6-foot-4 receiver had been committed to his hometown LSU Tigers. However, he reneged on that decision this past October.
