Mississippi State had a whole lot of offense on Saturday night.

The Bulldogs put up 56 points and 669 yards in a 15-point win over Samford.  The victory snapped a three-game losing streak, thanks mostly to that explosive offensive performance. It was a school record for most yards in a single game.

Wide receiver Donald Gray was a big part of the action. Gray finished the night with four receptions for 207 yards and three TDs in the game. Yes, that’s right, he averaged over 50 yards per catch, including a 74-yard reception. When he was approached about tonight’s production, Gray had an emotional reaction.

“It feels great to be a part of that,” he said. “I can’t stop smiling.”

After the performance, Gray now has 25 receptions for 473 yards and four TDs on the season.
