Thursday night was suppose to be Tony Romo’s night to shine but instead, the darling of the 2016 NFL preseason got to showcase his talents once again, as former Mississippi State Bulldog Dak Prescott replaced Dallas’ injured quarterback and threw a touchdown pass to tight end Jason Witten.

While Prescott will get credit for the touchdown pass, Witten deserves the lion’s share of the praise as the tight end snatched it away from the Seahawk defender and maintains his concentration through the catch.

While an injury to Romo may have crippled the Cowboys’ chances in the past, if the longtime Dallas quarterback misses any significant amount of action, the team appears to be in capable hands with Prescott now wearing the blue star on his helmet.
