What Joe Moorhead said after Mississippi State's loss at Texas A&M
The Mississippi State Bulldogs are now a disappointing 3-5 after going into College Station on Saturday and losing to Texas A&M 49-30.
It was another rough day for Mississippi State coach Joe Moorhead, who finds himself on the hot seat. Now, MSU must beat 3 of their final 4 opponents — Arkansas, Alabama, Abilene Christian and Ole Miss — just to make a bowl game.
After the loss, Moorhead addressed the media. Here’s what he said:

The Bulldogs will travel to Fayetteville to take on the struggling Razorbacks next weekend. That looks like a must-win game for Moorhead now.
Since Moorhead took over, the team has been trash on the road. We can definitely beat Arky but there’s a strong chance this team goes 4-8.
I wish I could make myself believe that. For some reason, I just can’t lie to myself like that.

I didn’t watch the game today because I knew we would lose. I’ve seen this movie sooooo many times over the past fifty (that’s 50) years I didn’t need to watch it again. And I won’t watch another Miss. State football game until Moorhead and his entire culture are gone.
Even then, if we get an excellent head coach and staff it’ll take YEARS to rebuild what this idiot has squandered. FACE FACTS: it’s Starkpatch – not Baton Rouge, Gainsville or Tuscaloosa – and we’ll never have a full pipeline of 4-Star recruits to rebuild with. Moorhead has set us back at least four or five years. Makes me want to puke.
The first step to recovery is to admit you have A problem. Everything that is happening is wHAT I predicted back in September when Coozie and Long Beach Mike and others were calling and implying I was acerbic because of the KT situation. Coach Over His Head is literally destroying everything we have worked so hard over the last ten years to build. He(Moorhead) is the worse hire ever for a coach in our 141 year history!
Amen! The people who hired him need to realize that he is not the ‘guru’ he claimed. Furthermore, they need to realize that while hiring him is forgivable since on paper he looked good, but keeping him will make them look bad and people will start to wonder if the Administration really knows what they are doing. Did you ever really listen to him. Listen to his words, the content, I mean. Mistakes are made by everyone but to continue the mistake is the one unforgivable transgression.
Really, really, really bad hire. Not sure it is the worse is MSU history. He Must go and tomorrow would be too late.
